CARE and WWF global alliance in human development and environmental conservation
The global alliance of CARE and WWF represents the union of two great international organizations through the Tri-national Amazon Program – PAT, is the largest in environmental conservation and in human development, with a goal to contribute jointly to the reduction of poverty in the influence area (Bolivia & Peru)
In order to shed light on the PAT implementation and the role which associate organizations play in the project, on the 19th September of this year, in the Regional Government Auditorium of Madre de Dios, a meeting was conducted regarding the presentation and initiation of the Tri-national Amazon Program “PAT” organized by WWF Perú, the organization in charge of the program’s implementation through local associate organizations:

Development and Forestry Society (BSD)
Association for the Conservation of the Amazon Basin (ACCA)
Forrestfunds
Peruvian Society for Environmental Rights (SPDA)
The meeting included participation from the Municipal Mayor of the Tahuamanu province, Mr. Alfonso Cardozo M. and the president of the regional government of Madre de Dios Mr. C.P.C. Santos Kaway Komori, the authorities of the municipalities in the PAT area and representatives of local organizations and institutions.
Through this convention, the manager of PAT and CARE Bolivia, Manuel Diez Canseco and the Director of WWF Peru, Teddy Peñaherrera, identified the objectives and results which this program is looking to produce and noted the importance of sentiment in the three nations regarding the development activities; indeed, Teddy Peñaherra stressed that the Tri-national Amazon Program financed by the Dutch Embassy in Bolivia, will be implemented by a mark of global alliance between CARE and WWF which represents the union of two great organizations, the largest in environmental conservation and the largest in human development, with a goal to contribute jointly to the reduction of poverty.
