The USA ambassador inaugurated a water system and micro watering system to benefit an adolescence shelter
 
The USA Ambassador Phillip Goldberg inaugurated last Monday, November 6 an “Integrated Water System save and microwatering in the Caiza “D” Municipality of the City of Potosí, to Benefit the Shelter Center Santiago Mestrio, Caiza D, which gives shelter to 24 young people from 11 to 15 years of age.The event counted with the participation of the Senate President Honorable Santos Ramírez, representatives of the USA Agency for the International development USAID local y authorities.
 
The Integral System of secure microwatering was implemented by the Alimentacion Security Program – Title Two with the cooperation of the USA Embassy, through the USAID funding and the CARE Cooperation who contribute to the sustainable development of the country .

The development of the Project started in July 2006 under the base of the identification of requirements of safe and secure for 24 young people who live in the shelter center “Santiago del Maestro”.

The Community and the perssonel who conduct the Center have recognized the high frequency of illness caused by the water consumption
 
So by the petition of the local authorities, the Prefecture has requested the help of USAID and CARE, to implement the integrated Project of safe water and microwatering with a doble purpose of:

1) Contribuite to the diminishment of illness.
2) To allow access to a more diversified nutricional plan, through the implementation of agricultural horchards.
