Training and perceverance are the road to success
Training Course in which Germán Mamani participated.
Germán is a model businessman who worked very hard to achieve his dream.

Germán Mamani is 33 years old, he is single and lives with his sister in the city of El Alto, in the first section of the Alto Lima zone, in street Achachicala Nº 100.

Both he and his sister have been producing sweaters from synthetic wool and alpaca wool for the last three years. He has a regular market, with potential to design cloths of whatever size, however he still thinks that there are many avenues yet to be pursued in order for him to consider his business successful, he feels that the business still has many weaknesses, particularly in terms of administration.

Germán says: “I have a market, but still I haven’t achieved adequate administrative management and feel that my accounts are not in perfect order...”

Through a friend, Germán discovered the services offered by the PROMOVER project and decided that this support would improve his work and chose to sign the form immediately. It was a great surprise when he found out that the lessons advertised were, in fact, very useful. He learned to use the best counting method, measure incomings and outgoings, market analysis to identify clients, and principally, to identify the likes and preferences of his potential clients in El Alto and extend himself to La Paz and then to export his products.

He learned to plan medium and long-term objectives, define actions and strategies to achieve those objectives. His main dream as he has said: “… my biggest dream is to export my products, principally Alpaca sweaters to the United States and Europe, I know that I can achieve this and with the help of PROMOVER, my dream has become a reality, thank you…”

Two months alter having participated in the courses, Germán obtained a contract to send his Alpaca sweaters to Virginia- United States, his dream has come true, today his business is growing, he is acquiring better equipment to improve the quality of his products and has contracted personnel to fulfil his contracts. 		  His main products and achievements are:

• Synthetic and Alpaca wool sweaters and baby clothes.

• 1 Contract to make synthetic wool sweaters.

• Formal contract to export Alpaca sweaters to Virginia- United States.

• Distribute his products to local shops in the tourist area of La Paz (Illampu).
